Cherry Blossom Marriage Proposal: The Musical! April 4, 2009

Ever seen a marriage proposal via spontaneous musical number including a capella groups, electric guitar, and BELLYDANCERS?? No? Then this vid is for you! This is an awesome (and disgustingly adorable) musical proposal that took place against the gorgeous backdrop of the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC. The whole thing is fantastic and the ending is worth it… the first minute is very windy, but hang in there! The wind goes away! The entire production was arranged, directed, organized, and written (even the bellydance music! Can YOU do that in Garage Band?!) by the lovely proposer, to the complete surprise of the proposee (who couldn’t quite figure out what was happening until a few minutes in. ;) The performers are a conglomeration of friends, classmates, acquaintances, and complete strangers who somehow received one of the many mass emails and wanted to participate. The audience is composed of curious and confused bystanders and tourists who came to DC to take pictures of cherry blossoms and somehow ended up taking pictures of bellydancers. A note from the couple: “Best moments of our lives. Thanks to all of the people that made this possible. We’re so grateful and so incredibly happy. Still on Cloud Nine. Love, L & M” Filming by Jaime, Marissa, and Flora. Editing by Jackie Dobson and Jaime Wojdowski.
